Front Left Signal Issues

Front Left Signal Issues
Does anyone else have the problem with the left front signal? for about a year now its been saying that i have to check the lamp but all the bulbs work fine. it flashes fast inside but normal outside. i purchased a replacement socket (because the dealer said there is a problem with the one that it came with) but the problem remains.
Any advise on this matter will be greatly appreciated. I refuse to take it to the dealer, they are trying to charge me almost $400 to change 2 gaskets that is held by 4 bolts that are on the top front section of the engine.

Have you checked fuses and relays for the signal lights?

I DON'T COME HERE ANYMORE
my front left started this a week ago-I'm due for my B service, and under warranty-so I'm bugged....but thats about it. Had the MBZ for 3 months and been through more bulbs then my last 4 cars combined....must be all that powa the alternator is making at 120mph

wiring issue
I had the same problem a couple of years ago and couldn't find the source,
I took it to a local auto electrician I know who told me the problem was with the wiring harness which had started to short out and melt where it entered the headlight assembly, all he did was a simple repair which has lasted fine ever since
