W203 Track Stars!
Anyone here on the MBW forum do track days? Autocross? Racing? Vintage?
How about with your W203? Yes the ".25" is a good time but thats not what I'm talking about. I used to run the "quarter" in the 80's when Air Cooled VW's were the street rods. I had a '72 Karmann Ghia with a streetable drag motor. Any of you SF Bay Area local remember Baylands Raceway in Fremont? How about Sacramento Raceway in..... Sacramento?
If you have a track/autocrosser lets see it in is fighting colors. Props to the MB racers. Heres mine! I plan to be at Sears Point soon with the C32. If the "old lady" gives me the okay.

I have been an SCCA and motorcycle racer for year. Ran a Fiat 124 long ago, then a Porsche 944S. Most recently a MR2 Turbo. I won the 4 cyl forced induction class two years ago at Mid Ohio during the street tuner challenge. Had a C36 AMG that I auto-x'ed occasionally in the past but mostly it was my street car. Now have a C32 also. I have drag raced it but have not put it on the track.
We have a track day in may at the Bluegrass Motorsports Park (new KY road course). I might take the Benz to it just for fun. The event is being organized by a regional S2000 group. I'm signed up to go, just not sure which car I will bring. The MR2 is a wicked track weapon where the C32 is powerful but the extra weight will be a detriment.
Attached is a shot of the C32, the MR2 at Mid-OH, the old 944S and running at Nelson Ledges in a Honda.

C55 AMG, 135i, 911 GT3, GLE43 AMG
Those who have been here for a while know that I've taken my C55 and 135i to lapping days. I started lapping 2-3 years ago in the C55 and I've been going 4-5 times per season. The 135i will likely become the main track car from now on. I'm no pro, but I really enjoy these lapping days.
