Is this too much for this car? Take II...

I know, the link is long and sucks! I'm looking for a project car and stumbled on this listing. The fact that the supercharger has been replaced, worries me. Is this a sign of abuse by the owner? I have heard Mercedes superchargers are very reliable. I feel the mileage is a bit too high for the price too. Any pointers? Thanks in advance!

yeah... mileage and engine wear would be concerns... you'd have to ask some of these C32 guys how that many miles affects supercharger performance/maintenance..

The price is too high for 78K miles and the year. I wouldn't be overly worried about the fact that the supercharger was replaced - especially if it was some time ago.
'Back in the day' (i.e. several years ago), superchargers were replaced due to bad clutches and other relatively minor issues that we now know don't require replacing the blower.
That said, you ought to do some homework on this car - i.e. see if you can find out why the supercharger was replaced.
I picked up a used supercharger that was removed from a motor because the bearing in the clutch was bad! An easy fix!

Aside from the price, I wouldn't have a problem with 78K miles.
There are plenty of people on this forum with 100K+ C32's (with original superchargers) and they seem to be doing just fine (aside from the usual issues that plague C32 owners!).
