Core exchange, sounds like a good way to do it.

Cool. Reconturing is usually just the best bet along with a port/gasket match. You don't want to open them too much because that actually reduces the velocity. Post some pics and the after dyno sounds like fun.

There will be two levels offered for this. The first will include a thorough cleaning, sand blasting, and gasket matching and reshaping of the Intake ports. This owuld be a\our level 1 porting and the cost would be 650.00 plus core charge.

Level 2 would be what our C43 is going through. It would include everything in level 1, but also porting/reshaping/polishing of the 2 top portions of the manifold. We also reduce the total runner length by about 1.5", nothing substantial but it's something you can actually feel on the top end. This is a very time consuming process and we have over 20 hours in our C43 manifold at the moment. The cost for Level 2 would be 1300.00 plus core charge.

In Summary:

Level 1 $650.00
  • Degrease
  • Sand Blast
  • Intake Port Reshape and Gasket Match

Level 2 $1300.00
  • Degrease
  • Sand Blast
  • Intake Port gasket match and reshape
  • Port/polish/reshape upper runners
  • Runner Length reduced by 1.5"

As for the Catch Can, we will be offering Universal Kits that include AN Fittings, Hose, and the Can for 200-250.00 depending on number of options.

We will also be coming out with New fuel rails fitted with Stainless hose and AN fittings. THe stock rail is more then adequate, but SS Line and AN fittings just looks trick (sorry its a Muscle Car thing).

Put me down for level 1 at least. I will reconsider going for level 2 after I see your dyno numbers. Will level 2 have any negative affect on low rpm power?

My mods are very similar to hooleyboy's set , minus the resonator/seconday cat delete and true dual exhaust. When I did these mods, installed, they ran about: $3k headers, $1.1k pulleys & plugs, $1.2k c/f airbox & filters, $1k ECU tune, $2.5k LSD, not counting any of the mistakes, dyno's, cosmetic, aerodynamic, wheel or electronic upgrades. As of now, my car is running 347.57 rwhp & 368.46 rwtq. Having TVT_Design port and polish the intake manifold and deleting the secordary cats should add about 20 or more rwhp, we shall see.

We will have a dyno on the C43 for the Stage 2 job on Saturday. We will also be getting baselines for our next two project cars, a C55 and E55 N/A.

FYI we have Quaife's for 1350.00 shipped if anyone needs an LSD.
