Bluetooth handsfree doesnt work with other phones
My car has the OEM Mercedes handsfree system that accepts only SAMSUNG D600. I changed my phone to U900 OMNIA and even after I pair the devices, it does not work, and show "PHONE OFF".
Any ideas how to fix this?

if you have the OEM MB bluetooth module. 90% of the time there's a different pin code which you would need to get from MB to pair the phone to the the bluetooth.
I had one heck of a time helped pairing the bluetooth for my dad's friend's S550 until I decide to call my SA. like above described the phone is paired, but shows "phone-off" until correct pin is used.

I have tried various codes, including the one that comes with the manual of 62872. The Audio 20 (car radio/ phone unit) does not ask for a PIN at all. In the omnia it only will share Dialup network and serial port.
Does anyone else have any ideas???
This is driving me nuts

I've seen some phone that doesn't work with certain bluetooth. this might be the case. the W204's bluetooth links to all the phones in my family except my dad's Treo. I'd say try it with another phone and see if that links.

A big thanks to all for the help and suggestions. I have fixed the problem. The only thing i can now say is that if you store your contacts as Outlook contacts and not on the SIM, you will not be able to download your contacts.
Thanks again.
