aftermarket gps unit question
I was wondering if anyone has a portable aftermarket gps unit in their cars, and if so, what are you using?? tom tom? garmin? other brands?
I received one back during christmas but it broke within the first day of using it. Apparently i cant keep it plugged into the cigarette lighter during startup
So i am in search of one that, 1, can stay plugged into cigarette lighter at all times, and 2, knows when the car is on or off and will shut down automatically when i turn the car off (or have a 30 second delay and then shut off, whatever)please let me know if anyone is using something that fits these 2 criteria. its really appreciated. and i dont really want to get a unit that replaces the stock head unit, which is why im looking for something that mounts to the dash or to the windshield. thanks again

we have it mounted lower left on her Outlander and its barley noticable-as to the poster that doesnt like an MBZ with things suctioncupped to the windshield....there are a # of prodcuts I would argue that with (notably-my DashDaq).
Gl on the shop! (Hows the VR? I sold an Evo X for the C55-miss the mitsu's!)

It was $49.00 at Staples on special, not sure who has best price now.
Stupid name, great unit. Don't take my word for it, read reviews.
I have a double din Avic F series in my C32 now. That thing is amazing... NAVI, XM, HD, AM/FM, USB, SD, DVD, etc... I was able to pick it up new on eBay with the msn/live cashback and a coupon code for under $500. It is worth about $1000.
