BTW my new girl owns a Stock 08 Mustang Cobra maybe if shes back on time I can convince her to go
Maybe you'll have a chance against her Glen but she loves to drag race on streets with many wins for money and she has a heavy foot especially since its a 6 speed....

When I went to UTI, one of the instructors took the UTI bus (Duramax diesel) down the track with 22 people in it at UTI Spring Drags @ Byron..... still ran 15 something too. Hell, it ran faster then half the students cars that day, lol.

At our Oct track day, the local constabulary only ran a 16 if I recall correctly!!! Not real good!! I think I could run faster than that

I am out for this event guys, my car is still running very very very rich and i need to figure out why. My last A/F reading is hovering between 9-10 on WOT. I am still trying to narrow down why... even so... my last run in my SIG with the mis/tune was a 12.291 @ 112.83 on street tires. If i can get the A/F fixed, i strongly believe my goal of a 12 flat on street tires is very likely.
Considering my previous trap speeds of high 115 low 116's were still based on A/F mixtures holding 10.2x I am loosing nearly 3mph due to this. This car has a history, when everything working properly of hitting 117-118 traps; so im down about 60rwhp
I am going to use this open weekend to start tearing into the emission system again, running test and trying to identify where I am having the issue.
Have fun and take some pictures!

weak......I see rich kleeman tunes all the time.....
I know what can fix that......

Not thinking its so much the tune as possibly something else... I have examined the exhaust, headers, all 4 of the O2 sensors, MAF sensor and all look like their in check. The tune hasnt been touched so it something else.
The ECU is reading a 18% + on the long term fuel trim (on both A & B) so something is telling the car its running lean, but based on wideband dyno testing, im buried in fuel.
Retuning it to compensate for the issue, technically could resolve the ECU trying to dump more fuel, but im trying to find out what is causing the ECU to make the decision to compensate so much.

1. Head west on Edwardsville Rd/IL-162 toward Riggin Rd 1.0 mi
2. Slight right to merge onto I-55 N/I-70 E toward Effingham/Chicago 0.8 mi
3. Take exit 20A to merge onto I-70 E toward Indianapolis 83.7 mi
4. Continue on I-57 N (signs for I-57/Chicago) 120 mi
5. Take exit 283 toward Gilman 0.3 mi
6. Merge onto County Hwy-1700 N/E US-24 0.4 mi
7. Turn left at S Crescent St/US-24/US-45
Continue to follow US-24
Entering Indiana 30.5 mi
8. Turn left at S US-41 14.3 mi
9. Turn right at W 200 S 1.0 mi
10. Turn right to stay on W 200 S
Destination will be on the left 0.6 mi
looks like a few hundred miles for me, but i have a chance at figuring this issue out im all for it

nothing .. this was corey's last suggestion for me
It's possible the intercooler is empty- if anyone ever tried to flush it, they likely didn't bleed it properly, as it's really difficult to bleed- that would certainly cause a loss in HP and TQ, and cause low trap speeds, etc.

do you have an wideband to hook up to see what is actually happening?
burp the cooling system, should be easy, but I doubt it woudl be causing that unless you were seeing high iat's
If it was cooling, your first run should be strong, followed by weakened runs
Tell me the exact symptoms you are seeing, and what you have done

Here is a shot of the wideband :
A/F tanks @ wide open throttle.
... My IAT seems to maintain 117-125F (when rolling) ...
Engine Coolant maintains 179 to 200
Long Term Fuel Trim A & B maintains 18% +
Short Term Fuel Trim A & B seems to hold +/- 5% but spikes after WOT to 20%+ and just entering throttle (i will post a diagram when i get home)
MAF seems like its reading appropriatly ;
Check engine light comes on for periods but will go away. The code it throws is 2096 POST Catylst Fuel Trim Limit Low
My most recent drag runs:
Gateway International Speedway 1/4 (1 month ago)
12.427 @ 116.20
12.527 @ 115.99
12.844 @ 114.70
12.576 @ 115.27
Went into dealer and they replaced MAF, all 4 O2 Sensors and did a 'default init' ...resetting adaptations?
So i went to Winged Warrior @ Indy and at O'Reilly I got the following:
12.88x @ 113.70
12.490 @ 112.20
12.291 @ 112.83
So ... 'something' changed? the adaptations make my car slower on the top in? I am anticpating the fact that I am not making as much power allowed me to control my launch better, netting me a better ET , but killing my trap mph.
