"no issues" being the absolutely key part.
On one hand, you have a fast AMG that can also handle the twisties - and a comprehensive turn-key package from one of the premier MB/AMG tuners. Definitely not a "parts-hanger" car, which should help the overall value. Since the MSRP + labor on all of the mods is likely north of $25-30k, this doesn't appear to be too bad of a price.
OTOH, you can land a really nice w211 E55 for the same or less money - which would likely be as fast or faster, and *might* hold its value better from this point onward than this C55.

IMHO, the true ROI on your car and it's modding journey comes from the enjoyment and challenge of tackling a big project like slapping on a factory AMG Kompressor and getting it all to work properly, coupled with the record-breaking drag racing times you've achieved. These are significant, and you should be proud of what you've accomplished; just a quick word of caution to not expect unrealistic monetary benefits to follow suit...

I think it depends on who is looking. If I had the money I would probably shell out 35k for hooleys car. I don't really know about this one though. I am also scared to invest in a car that has been beaten or pushed to it's limits for an extended period of time.

C32 AMG
I'd look right past that and get an E55. Nice car but too many question marks. Anything north of $40k and I'm looking at a CLS AMG, which does hold it's value (relatively speaking).

I passed, but thanked him for the offer. At this moment in time, 32k will not get me an equal car when it comes to drag / autocross / etc... 42k will though

This was the one for sale at MB Sacramento back in Dec 08-Feb 09...I remember looking into it because that is when I bought mine. MB Sac was asking north of 40k, they must have given up and sent it back to auction... here is the dealer listing for it now.

I got the scoop on this car from the horses mouth, That being Renntech.. Those are Monolites wheels. The car also is running A "Sneaky Pete" in the glove box. It has a Renntech stage 3 and Brembo brakes.

Yep, they are... wheels and tires alone ~$7k.
Good info! If this was previously at a dealer (looking for $40k+, no less), it would lend credibility that this probably isn't some used and abused, headache-waiting-to-happen modded car. Hope the new owner is someone on the forums! Would be interesting to hear a first-hand driving impression on this one.

Whoa - no kidding! Hidden nitrous set-up? Nevermind what I just said about abuse...

NOS Sneaky Pete Kits
The Sneaky Pete was designed as a true "cheater kit." This kit will allow a user to obtain that extra tenth of a second without being obvious. It was designed as a very compact, simple-to-use nitrous only injection system. It will be necessary to jet carburetors a little richer while being "sneeky" because no additional fuel source is utilized. The kit comes complete with a super slim 10 oz. bottle, a nitrous solenoid, nylon nitrous line, wiring, 9 volt battery holder, and an assortment of jets.

When I saw this thread I did not think it would be the same car, BUT I actually went to that dealership and sat in the car. When I saw the boost gauge and the N20 gauge I walked out, I did not want to waste my time or the salesman's time. The salesman also told me the C55 supercharger was stock. I told him that the C55 engine was n/a as far as I knew...

The seller tried to swindle brakes out of Renntech saying Renntech should replace the bad brakes. Well Renntech knew the car had Brembo brakes not Renntech. That didn't go over to well with Renntech.
