Would this wheel work as a spare tire?

I know it would fit the rears, but would it fit over the front caliper?

I don't know if it'll clear the calipers but, I'm figuring it won't fit in the spare tire well.

Are you planning to just stick it in the trunk?

BTW, it's good to see you are around still. It's great to hear from the old timers every once in a while.

I did the spare tire mod (Basically buying the toolkit and case) and the well is plenty big for a 17" wheel/tire. I actually have kept one off-season wheel/tire in there but now that I'm thnking of selling the car, I may sell the winter setup separately.

I know, I noticed this too when we first bought the car. Of course the dealer gave us the lame excuse of "Well your car has 17 inch rims (big wheels for 2001 apparently) and therefore a spare can't fit in the well". The subwoofer went in there the week after.

Look behind the wheel, if its a 35 or 37 it will clear front BBKs. I have the same mod in my trunk.
