OEM ic pump vs CM30
I was comparing the flow of those 2 pumps:
Stock: Bosch 0392 022 003 if you go to the Bosch site:
http://www.boschmotorsandcontrols.co.../kennlinie.htm
and by reading the graph you will find that at 0.3 bar the flow is 1300 L/h = 21.7 L/min and at 0.1 bar the flow is 1750L/h = 29.2 L/min
Johnson CM 30:
http://www.johnson-pump.com/JPMarine...01_CM10_30.pdf
at 0.3 bars flow is 9 L/min
at 0.1 bars flow is 26 L/min
If i am reading right the flow of the stock is higher than the cm30
i wish i am wrong cause i have the cm30 installed from 7-8 months.
guys please can someone correct my readings?
thanks.

Interesting find . If I am not also reading wrong, yes you are correct
And if this is truth, there will be a big war soon in this forum...
I still have my OEM pump though

I move for a forum wide ban of the Johnson pump. After reading your findings and consulting Wiki-I too have to agree that the stock pump flows more fluid then the "upgraded" (really? I mean, REALLY?) stock pumper.
I also move (and someone should second this) a ban on the word Johnson, CM30, or pump in any future posts.
I think MBZ should supply, free of charge on parts or labor, a swap back to the (clearly) superior factory Bosch pump for those peeps that have been con'd into thinking this new technology could in fact out perform the factory specs.
I dont have a SC, so it really doesnt apply to me-but thats a good find-slow day at work like me?

As you can see guys when the pressure increase(0.3bar) the stock flow remains up (21.7 L/min) as for the johnson the flow has alot decrease (9 L/min).
when the temperature increase in the system the pressure also increase.
it is really a bad pump.

wow, interesting find, was gonna buy the "better flowing" pump!
But I kno MB did update their IC pump a few times, so not sure if this is the newest updated one. Anyone have the part no. of the olds ones or newest ones?
The new part no. i have is A000 500 03 86.

as far as I can tell. the CM30 has efficiently lowered the IAT after, and no the OEM pump wasn't broken when I replaced it.

I also remember reading the oem pump being tested at only 4 GPM which the CM30 pumps 6.9 GPM. that's why people "upgraded" to them which all showed the lowered IAT after the replacement.
either way. it is possible that Bosch upgraded their own specs later on anyway OR a bigger possibility that plain and simple none of us actually read the graph correctly. on the graph's top right it shows 13V.

CM30 > stock 32 pump. There were a ton of independent tests by forum members on all the boards that have showed the Johnson CM 30/90 pumps were far superior to their respective stock pumps and not only had better flow and cooler IATs, but were more reliable.
I won't be going back to a stock pump regardless. Whether it flows more or less, my temps show marked improvement when running a C3P HE with a stock vs. CM30 pump.

one should also remember that the MAIN reason for installing the cm30 wasnt better flow or lower iat's. it was that the stock pump was constantly FAILING. some lasted 50,000 miles and some lasted 2,000 miles. the main constant was that the bosch pump WILL fail. its just a matter of time. the johnson pump is an infinitely better pump. the flow and lower iat's were just a sweet bonus.

I looked at the part-nr. on my old stock pump. it is the 003. IATs are not lower with the CM30, which is on my car now. The CM30 only seems to be more reliable. By the way, I will be upgrading my pump next week...

and you don't need to compare new pump vs new pump. a good pump will never decrease in it's ability to function.

as mentioned the bosch was tested at 13v
OEM pumps fail way to often, I haven't seen a cm30 fail yet? I went through 2 stocks in a year. I have had the cm30 for a year and a half now with no issues.

Actually, the CM30 is smaller in size dimensionally.
The motor just spins and pumps more gallons per minute.
I've had the Ford Lightning pumps and it lasted only as long as the OEMs. So far the CM30 has been a lot more reliable. And yes, my IAT also has improved.
