Call me crazy, but I actually don't think the decal is too bad. It goes with the aggressive look IMO and doesn't look to terribly out of place.
I think I may have to paint my hood vent black as well. Big fan of the silver and black.

Finally! someone who agrees! haha yeah black hood vent is a good finishing touch for the black and silver theme
Well all I did was went to Kragen and bought some silver caliper paint and brake cleaner, and cleaned them then sprayed them. Matched perfect and looks a hell of a lot better than the brownish black they were before in the rear

Definitely looks hot, rims and all. I fully support the black grille, but it might be a bit too much. Not hard to go back if you need, anyway ![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
How did you paint your fender badges, or did you just get black lettering?

the fender badges I took off and painted, not an easy process with making sure they were back on perfect and finding the right paint, etc. It took me about a week to get it right, well worth it though IMO. Let me know if you want more details..

Car looks awesome!!! So aggressive! Did you sand the emblems down before you painted them? What paint did you use?

I am not sure how C_DirtyTwo did his, but when I did mine I just made sure they were very clean and hit them with several coats of good quality primer out of a can. Then several coats of flat black in a can and sealed it with a few more coats of semi gloss. Did my front grill the same so it all matches. The key is several light coats. The PITA is putting new double sided tape on the tiny letters and getting it all lined back up.

I don't remember which brand spray paint I used. I blindly went in there and purchased their most expensive can of outdoor auto grade paint assuming like an idiot that more expensive = better.haha Even still, it's very inexpensive to do and if you screw up, it's an easy fix to paint over.

I'm sure it would "stick" better if you lightly sanded it but I didn't have the patience to sand everything down. I used an old emblem as my test piece to see what worked best and went from there.

To make sure that they were on exactly where they were from the factory:
I used blue painters tape, put a piece on below the badges and marked little hash marks with a pen to show exactly where each badge needed to sit, it worked out perfectly instead of trying to eye it out. That way they are on straight and in the right spot
