2004 C32 AMG
New oem brake rotors- green corrosion coating?
Looking for a way to remove the green, primer-like substance that ships on oem rotors. I hate the way it looks!

The techs I talked to said they leave it on.

Anyone with BTDT for removing it?

brake clean and a razor blade is how we did it at the dealership

Did you do this for just the friction surface, or the hat, edge, etc?

Just got mine from Mb of florida and they were coated gray, just used cleaner to get it off befor installing.

once you install'em the pads will clean the paint off for you. leave the rest of them on. they're suppose to be anti rust.
