How does this stuff get in there?

OK, so I know how it got into the air filter box on my C32. I just have to wonder what the odds are that I would manage to get what looks like half of a redwood fence post through my grill, into the intake, down the tube, past the baffles and around the curve into the bottom of the box.

I discovered the sticks (and bug's head) along with some sand and various small rocks in the box when I was checking my air filters yesterday.

Anyone else finding odd materials in theirs? Please share.

Not an AMG :(
That looks about normal! Obviously what you find in there is a function of where you live - I've also found a piece of string, bird feathers, and what looks to be a plastic candy wrapper!

Glad those filters are in place before the supercharger!

Whose fence did you plough through, Scott? :)

Discovered good-sized pebbles, cigarette butts, insect parts of unknown ancestry, and a prophylactic wrapper in mine during past filter maintenance. Rather pleased they never made it further downstream into the supercharger’s rotors.

This thread inspired me to take my box apart to clean out and check the contents. I found nothing exciting like the rest of you, just a ton of leaves.
