Well, Had the CD cartridge jammed in the CD player and would not release after multiple attempts over a couple days. So the 'how it's made' in me leads me to taking the CD apart to get the cartridge out. While removing one of the covers a screw drops into the player. As I turn it upside down to recover the screw two piece also come out? Could this be the culprit? Anyone know where these pieces go in the CD player? I could not for the life of it find their home. Thanks in advance!

PS - The cartridge it out on a positive note!

i would consult a stereo shop, the dealership or just buy a new radio....looks like the piece that pulls the cd door closed which has the spring for it as well.

Just as a tip for the future. If the magazine gets jammed, just press the eject button, and as it's making noise, hit it. Use either a rubber mallet or your fist, and hit the player on the large side by where the magazine sits. There are many dealers that charge 30 minutes to half an hour for this repair.

This company can fix these I think. Not sure if the dealer will open it up they usually just replace them with a reman which is pretty expensive.
