Command fan running 24/7....Help!!!

The fan in the command unit is running all the time and killing my battery within a few hours, I have been looking around the forums and all I can come up with is that a bad seat module is causing the fan to run all the time, But I have both seat modules unplugged?? Any help or suggestions that I may have missed?

I've heard that it could be also cause by the dome light?? try pulling the fuse to that as well.

Good Luck!

~edit~ misread statement.

Anything in the fiber-optic ring stay 'alive' after the car is shutoff could cause the command to stay powered on but not display, thus the fan runs to cool the command. Check the drivers seat module first....next would be the tele-aid control module... or a bad command unit or audio gateway.

I am making a little progress on finding the draw that keeps killing my car, I pull the fuse to the command and the draw goes from 1.6 amps to 0.9-1.0, I then pull the fuse #40 (Teleaid I believe) and the draw drops to 0.8 amps. I have pulled the fuse to the command before and let the car sit overnight and it was dead again in the morning. I am going to drive the car today and let it sit tonight with both fuses unplugged and see what happens. The good thing is that I plugged both my seat modules back in and there was no draw!

Make sure that you recharge your battery using a charger and don't rely on the alternator. It will kill your alternator in no time! Been there, done that...

Good Luck!
