Auto Volume Overide
I dont see anything in the manual that even states that there is the speed/noise adjusted volume but apparently there is, which I hate. I also cant find any description anywhere of how to turn the feature off????

Yep... all other cars I have owned you could turn this off through the radio menu....cant seem to do so in the benz though which is ridiculous

Hi, I agree with you it is a pain in the A%S! Especially when you install a subwoofer and amp, it drives the amp banana's and you have to disconnect the mic...
Anyway if you really hate it, the mic is in the roof, where the map and interior lights are for the front of the car. You have to pull that whole plastic console off holding the lights and switches etc. If i remember the mic is stuck down with like double sided tape or just nml tape, (sorry i did this so long ago i cannot rememeber exactly) just feel around the sides you will find it. Anyway i just pull the mic up and cut the wires to the mic, problem solved...
