Black Vinyl roof overlay?

Black Vinyl roof overlay?
Has anyone installed one of these on their car. I was browsing eBay and came accross this. It looks nice, but I am not sure of the quality and how to install it.

I'm missing something here. We're finally seeing all the old people that put vinyl roofs on their Cadillacs and Lincolns die off and now there's this. I'm AARP-eligble and I still fail to see the point in this. What's next, gold emblems and white sidewalls again?

Yea I seen blackroofs c55 and it looks really nice wasn't sure how you guys were going about doing it. lkfoster I don't really know about white walls and vinyl Cadillacs it was before my time so sorry I am sure your rant is meaningful, just not to me.

gentlemen, i need opinions on next mod for the c32.. i was thinking of putting on some 13" gold wire wheels with VOGUE white walls, maybe the metal rods that stick out behind the wheels so that i dont scrape the rims on the sidewalk and maybe triple gold plated emblems to go with my BLACK PAINTED ROOF..!!! AND YES, IM MEXICAN..!!! LMFAO..

make sure you know what brand of vinyl you'll be buying and make sure you take it to someone with experience to put them on. usually a good tint shop can do the work for you.
this is my buddy's 335 before he lemoned it and got the M3. The vinyl that were on were Avery Vinyl. He had it on for a year the vinyl peeled clean off with not much glue residue when he returned it to the dealership.

Thanks for the info, I am not really sure what to use quality wise your friends car looks nice too bad he had to get rid of it. I am guessing the m3 looks better though

different grade vinyl also last differently btw. cheapest grade has a 4yr outdoor rating and then there's 6 and then 9. I was gonna buy some vinyl, but just just didn't get to it. you can find them on this site http://www.beacongraphics.com/suppli...red-vinyl.html price isn't too bad either.

alright the prices are pretty cheap. I came into some extra money so I think I will probably end up doing this along with carbon front lip and some LED tails. Just have to save up for some rims next

I had a quote from Promax long time ago of $80 for gloss or matte roof vinyl.
the 335 i showed you. my friend bought the vinyl pre-cut for only $50 and then had a local window tint shop installed it for $20. he got it from this guy from SD who does a lot of vinyl work also on mostly Nissan Zs.

$20 seems kinda cheap for any service lol I called our local tint shop and they didn't even seem to know what it was. The guy that runs this business told me they do mobile work to for 30 bucks. I think I am going to go this route since I work 6 days a week and really don't have time to make it to an installer.
