My C32 is history. Thanks for the advice!
The G37 is strong, but I will miss the torque of the C32. This site saved me big bucks, and I'm thankful for that. I bought my C32 (2002) in 2005 and it was almost flawless. Intercooler pump failure was the only glitch (other than seat heaters); and I used the Ford Lightning fix.
I have a set of winter tires/wheels if anyone local (DC area) wants them pretty cheap. They are all FRONT wheels (17x7.5") with Michelin Pilot Alpins with good tread. If interested, shoot me an email at greg_cirillo[at]yahoo.com.

I am saddened by the loss of value of these rare, strong and beautiful cars. The fact that you traded yours for under $10k reinforces my notion to hang on to mine for as long as it will run. Heck, I could pass it on to one of my sons some day. That would be nice.
I hope the the new purchase does not prevent you from stopping by this forum in the future. As stated above, it has been a pleasure to have known you, via your posts. Keep up updated on the exploits in the 944 and drive on.
The CLK was an option, but it has SUCH a dated look. Even in its prime, it was quite dowdy. I looked around for an AMG version, and even shopped for body kits to see if the CLK could be made to look hotter, but the options were few.
The G37 is a very nice car. It's got a strong engine, but honestly, I would have been just as happy with a little turbo diesel. Now that I get my speed fix from a track car, my street car needs have changed. I want something to slog me to and from work in traffic, in comfort and with some head-turning style. Nissan does a great job making their technology usable.
Me and the 944 will be going to VIR on October 10-11 for a NASA HPDE. It's been a slow-ish track year, but I have made it to NJMP/Thunderbolt. That's a fun track. Not VIR-fun but pretty close.

congrats on your new convertible.
I used to drive the poor man's Porsche 924 with a Weber big throat, headers and a Borla exhaust in British racing Green. Man, I still miss that car.

I loved the C32 to the day I sold it. I could have seen myself driving it another 10 years. But it wasn't a four-seat convertible, and that was what we were looking for.

PS: I gave up road racing until I will teach my son, only five years to go, how to race go karts

He already LOVES NASCAR better tham Thomas, which is NO SMALL feat ladies and gentlemen that have kids
).I like the G37 more each day. We've had a nice run of weather so I have had the top down every day. And in 5 years, I hope to enjoy the benefits of Japanese car resale value.
Ironically, I sold my C32 winter wheels today (to Razor) and had to get all four wheels/tires to Virginia with me. They wouldn't fit in the G37 and wifey needed her SUV for the carpool. So I loaded them into the old 944! Plenty of room.

*** Start him with 18 volt Power Wheels, the dynamics are similar to slow carts and then you can move him into 125 cc shifters!!! Thats how Schumacher, the regenmesiter, got his start!! ***

PUS*IES, Both of you , Just who's ruling those households??? OOPS, why did I even ask??
Good Luck!!!
