Help: Hand Brake Pull Handle is Loose!

My foot brake pull handle is loose. I assume one of the spring behind the handle either broken or loose.

Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

Thanks.

I did a search on stepper motor, and removed the lower panel under the dash.

I found there was a little spring on the floor. I believe this is the spring which retract the pull handle. I have no idea where does it connect to the pull handle.

Anyone knows? I believe if I can install the spring back, my problem should be solved.

Anyone?

or should I just remove the 2 torx screws behind the pull handle and take off the whole assembly of the pull handle to find out where the spring goes?

I tried to edit the heading but it did not work.

It is the "FOOT" brake pull handle

Ahhh. The guy that owned mine before me had huge problems with the E-brake. It ended up slipping on all the time. He ended up having the whole system replaced. My E Brake pedal has some play in it still and it makes me nervous.
