2005 C55 AMG
Side window replacement
There's a deep gouge in the side window (back seat) of my C55. It's about 6 inches long and it catches a fingernail. This is beyond repair. Can this window be replaced anywhere, or only by Mercede, since these windows have some "special" tint directly from Mercedes?

The dealer or dealers bodyshop can easily do the job. If you're talking about the little fixed glass it can be changed out in under 5 minutes if you know what you're doing.

I can live with it but my wife is pissed, so unless it's just an outrageous costs to repair/replace, it'll have to be done.

Yes i agree with you. I have seen windows replacement in Knoxville with all the stuff they are providing for windows replacement. Please go through with this website u will get more info in this crsexteriors

the tinted glass should be able to be obtained by any competent shop. they just need to know that yes you have that one.
