I am considering the K&N filters but they may not protect as well in the winter as the stock filters. Since they are higher flow, they may not filter out the very fine particles as well as the stock. There quite a few messy winter days around here - salty mist, sand, dust, all being "inhaled". Net result, if these are not filtered properly: clogged intercooler core which will work less and less efficiently.

Any thoughts?
