wow that look like my first accident with the C55.. well mine was a lot better at least not as much.. but damn i know how u feel..

Crazy they want to total it for that though. How much did they value the car at? How much to buy it back? Your insurance premiums are going to be insane I bet!

My adjuster said that with that much damage theyd like to just total it out. There having someone come pick the car up today to inspect it and make sure its not worth repairing. Ill let you know how much they valued the car out when they release that info to me. Its my first ever accident in 9 years of driving, so hopefully my premiums wont get too bad.

I crashed a Ducati a few years ago and the insurance co. wanted it totaled for cosmetic damage only. I asked if I got a lower price would that be OK and they said sure. I turned it in and they wrote the check and didn't take my bike away.

What they offer you is not concrete you can p[ush for more.. they are going to base it on comparables in your area being sold as well.

Directed towards OP, but I'm quoting moose -
Make them factor that in to the price when they total it. Best bet is to take their first offer and then add the full retail price of every single mod that was added, factor in the new paint job, (if applicable) new tires, brakes, rotors, etc., etc. Not that you will get it all, but you have to at least try and fight for it.

Sorry about the crash. I'd get it fixed up just the same.
Three years ago round this time, I took off without the ESP on a very damp street (it had just had stopped drizzeling) and at a light a TC Scion to my left
and I took off quickly when all of sudden my C started fishtailing. To avoid parked cars on my right I swerved left and clipped the Scion not once but twice.
I had slight indents from the front fender, driver and rear passenger side door and rear quarter panel. My insurance estimated almost 4K and gave me a check minus 1K deductible. I took it to DentPro and they did it for 1,500.00.
No body parts (sheetmetal) were replaced but massaged back to original.
And yeah, my premium went up but not a whole lot.

Im not sure what they're going to offer me yet. They pick the car up for inspection tomorrow. I already talked with the inspection guy and he said that if they total out the car I can come grab my after market parts off.

Listen Give me a call if you want when your adjuster lets you know how much they want to give you.. I work for Allstate so I kno the INS of the insurance part..
