Agreed, It was nice to be able to put faces to names. I just got a base tune and a before and after dyno run. My before numbers were around 300hp and 305 ft. lbs. and my after numbers were 325hp and 340 ft. lbs. torque.

if euro kng doesnt mind me putting up his results, they were

base:
290whp
28X ft.tq dont exactly remember

after:

332whp
314 ft.tq

thats 40+ whp with just a 185mm pulley, eurocharged heat exchanger, cm30 pump and a code3 intake

Now I am feeling wrong.

Last event 100degree hot:
Tuner: Jerry
Base line: 272whp/294wtrq
After tune: 293whp/304wtrq
Mods: 185mm pulley, Code 3 intake, 2.75mm Modified Intake Manifold, 5lbs heavier wheels

This event 60 degree cool:
Tuner: Tony
First run base line was 305whp/309wtrq.
After tune, 298whp/325wtq.
Mods: 185mm pulley, Code 3 intake, 2.75mm Modified Intake Manifold, 5bls heavier wheels
Let Headers, Second CATs removed, NO air filler

Just for headers and the 40degree diff, I can see 12whp/15whp gain compare from the last run at the last dyno and first run at this dyno. This totally makes sense for the headers/cooler air. But after the new software, it decreases????

It seems like, they put a new software in and develop the tune from that new file instead of using my last file and going from there (I may be wrong).

Tony explained that the heat soak place a role. I did not have heat problem in the 100 degree day and in this 60 degree day I have heat problem?

I do gain 30whp after 5000rpm, but who drive at 5000rpm on highway?

I feel something wrong here. Eur kng with just a 185mm pulley, eurocharged heat exchanger, cm30 pump and a code3 intake ran 35whp more than I and I have more mods than him headers/second cat removed?

Oh yeah a stock SRT6 ran 300whp base line = all my mods????

I still cannot digest my before/after dyno graph. Will post when I get it.

Hey CLKCLK,
Nice finally meeting yo yesterday. I was talking to Tony after my run and he was thinking that you may have a boost leak or something. He mentioned that you had a couple CEL's come up during the tune. Cause otherwise there's no way you should be making so much less power. You should give Tony a call and maybe he can point you to a couple things to get checked.

As far as my tune, I was very happy with the results. I know my car is probably not the strongest and I don't need the highest dyno numbers anyway. Most importantly Tony was ably to smooth out my power delivery, giving me about 10 more HP in the low end, about 5 more through out the midrange and about 28 in the high end. So altho my peak numbers didn't go up a huge amount, the car is definitely noticeably faster and I'm very happy.
Also, this was a retune from last time when there was a ton of heatsoak and now I installed Eurocharged headers.

I think the last time I Dyno'd back in May, I did 294 RWHP and 303 Ft lbs of torque. Yesterday I baselined at 328 Hp and 363 Torque. After a few runs of tuning, I actually forget my final number, but I think it was 343 HP and 355 torque. Again, I picked up a ton of power in the high end which I notice a great deal. I was mostly looking at the graph deltas more than end numbers.

Again, Thanks to Eurocharged and Tony for coming out again for a great Dyno tune day and everyone else for showing up. It is always great meeting everyone and putting names to handles. Seeing some really cool cars.

Entertainment for the day was clearly IIIMBPIII and his SLK55 with only primary cats. Crazy loud at WOT! I'd LOL each time they ran it. I'll post a clip if it's OK with him.

Cutting your cats and removing the air filter is not going to do much of anything. The dyno fan is not moving that much air for the filters. (risk not worth reward)

Do you know what your IAT's were? Did you do anything else recently to the car like plenum spacers or etc?

How many runs were done between the first and the last number run? Do you have any cooling mods?

It’s risk and may hurt the motor, but I am guessing it's not hurting the number is it?

No, I don't have coolant mods

I ran like 10 runs (2+ hrs on the dyno, 7 tuned files in your record) on the 100 degree day and I kept picking up little power by little each run. Jerry kept commenting that it surprised him that my car wasn't getting heat soak.

This time I ran about 4-5 runs in a cool (cold) day. The number just drop dramatically after the first flash.

There was some sections on the dyno graph that I did not get so clear when I saw at the shop. I will look at it closer when I get the dyno graph.

The only think I can think of is that just like Grammar_Benz said. I may have intercooler leak. I do have to fill in a half of quart of coolant every 1month -2month.

My question is how much power do I lose for the intercooler leak? Is 30whp possible? Or just 5, or 10?

Is it possible for you to still get overboost code with an leaked intercooler for losing that much power?

And anyone have an good used stock IC for sale? I am asking for a used stock cause’ we still have problem with Code3 right? and the new one for both OEM and Code3 is super expensive $900-$1000

Ok good, the picture is becoming clearer.

Nope, your not hurting the numbers without filters.

The heat is one thing, but its the humidity that does it. I ran some of my best times in 80 degree weather but no humidity.

If your going through that much coolent, I have to agree with grandma_benz, and I would also say there is where ur problem is. I was down 45 hp with mine leaking but I had more mods. I never threw a code either for it down but could overboost easily. The boost is leaking somewhere and not making the power it should as you don't have the full charge going into the engine. Also remember where the boost is measured.

There is a lot of info on the leak and diagnosis, but easy way to tell is look for coolent in the plenums or back of the engine bay.

You DEFINATELY want to upgrade your heat exchanger. You are definately heat soaking.

Don't get the C3 intercooler, I lost power with it. Find a used one or get one from someone who knows a dealer or can get you a hookup. 7-800 range then. Not an easy diy fix but one that can be done. (remove supercharger)

CLKCLK, give me a call at the shop. I have some stock IC's here I can send you one if needed. Also there are a few things I want you to do with your car so we can try and nip this issue in the bud. Also we have the upgraded Heat Exchangers for a good price and I do suggest a pump. When your car heat soaks it pulls timing and dump some fuel to try and protect your engine and yes it would rob you about 20 to 30+ hp. Call me today buddy 630-995-3501

IIIMBPIII man your car is sick and sound just as sick. I loved tuning your car and cant wait till you do some more mods so I can continue to bring power out of the best. I got goose bumps everytime we ran it to redline on the dyno

I spoke with Laszlo the dyno operator and he said he should have everyones dyno charts emailed out today. If he run short on time it will be tomorrow.

Again thanks everyone that came out, I hope everyone is happy with there cars performance and the power I extracted. I hope everyone post up there dyno charts for some reason people think we posting up funny busniess when all we do is kick a$$ at what we do and do the best that we can its just so happen we dominate anything out there.

I'm glad to hear the event was a great success! I'm hoping some of you guys will join us at Sacramento with all this new found power. I'm always looking to have some fun with other MB's.

Where's Azipod? How did his car do? He should have laid down some nice numbers with all his new mods, can't wait to see them.

Thanks Tony!!
