Driver seat forward back movement problem
The guy at my carwash moved the seat almost all the way up and now my driver's seat won't move forward or back. When I try to, all you hear is a click. All other functions up, down, headrest, etc... work fine. I searched and found a few old threads (mostly on the w208 forum) that describe the exact same problem with all sorts of solutions from pull fuses / plugs to hit the motor with a hammer. I haven't been able to get any of these things to work and none of the posts agree on what the cause of the problem actually is. Has anybody here had the same problem? Solutions?

I came out the next morning ready to go rent a car and the seat magically worked. I may never move it forward again. I would like to know what the root of this problem is though.
