Blacked out badging
Hi Guy's, I'm new to this could anybody advise on the process for blackening the badges or is it performed by a paintshop, have a white C32 but will be going for some paintwork shortly, rims and other trims to be black and if I could get the badging done that would fit nicely with the other ideas I have.

Out Of Control!!
Just buy another set of badges, scuff them up, and paint them yourself. Then take out some floss, take off the old ones, and then slap on the new ones where the old ones were. Much easier than trying to mess around with the ones that are already there.
If you're that worried about them matching exactly to what the paintshop is going to be doing, have them paint them - would add almost nothing to the bill.

I took it to the paint shop and they had difficulty doing the amg badge so I bought it off eBay. The quality wasn't that great, but you cant really tell since it's black. They were able to do the letters and they seem to be holding up for me now.

Did all of mine as well. Light sanding, get them good and clean, few coats of primer, flat black and some sealer (no gloss, just extra layer of protection) and you're good to go. Get the thinnest (and strongest) double sided 3M tape you can find and you can reuse your original decals if you wanted.
PS The benz logo of the deck lick is pressure fit on there and not glued. Be careful and it should pop off. Almost learned that one the hard way. Easy DIY though. Good luck!
