CEL P0202 - Open Circuit Injector #2
I have a 2002 C32 with ~85k miles.
Was driving home the other night about 70mph. I punched it and felt a slight stumble and the check engine light came on. The car drove fine after that. I drove the car for a couple days and the CEL cleared itself. Yesterday I borrowed an OBDII scanner and read the codes. I got an incorrect gear ratio code and the P0202 injector code. I then cleared the codes. On the way home I was driving on the highway again and slowly accelerated. When I hit 80mph or so, the CEL came on again. This time, I got vibration and loss of power. Basically it felt like I dropped a cylinder. I drove about 5-6 miles home. When I pulled into the driveway it was running real rough. I turned the car off and back on and it was smooth again. I drove it around the block and it felt fine.
I haven't had a time to check the codes again but I assume I might see a P0202 again.
Does anyone know what this code really means? Does it usually mean a bad connection, failed injector etc? Are there known issues that cause this code to occur? I assume like most C32 problems, if it happened on mine it happened on other peoples cars as well.
I figured I'd start with checking the connection to the injector. After that I guess I try to replace the injector. Any ideas?
