clean them really good, some sort of cleaner...then sand them down with some fine sand paper just enough to make the paint stick. Then clean them again. Then Primer, then paint. I used a deck of cards and stuck them in between the edge of the wheel and the tires to make sure no paint got on the tires...I think I have a picture somewhere Ill try to find it...

did u take ur ribbets out before painting?
I keep finding this style wheel but without the ribbets and I WANT RIBBETS DAMMIT
