Dyno mode = CEL?

Dyno mode = CEL?
So the other day I put my car in dyno mode the first time since I got it back from the install and it was acting weird. It wouldn't start in 1st in S mode and same with M mode. It also wouldn't start in 1st at all in M. Played around with it for a bit and it felt like it went into limp mode as it wouldn't even let me do a burn out in dyno mode!
Turned dyno mode off and started the car up again and got a CEL. WTF? I reset the tranny and shut it off for the night.
I start it up the next day and I still have the CEL. So I put it in dyno mode again, started it up then turned off dyno mode and turned off the car. When I started it back up the CEL was gone and acts perfectly normal.
Could my tune be messing with its ability to go into dyno mode?
I just hope I can resolve this before I go to the dyno on saturday for the AMG meet...
