welp i got a C32

i'm thinking it may be #6, so that would make sense, is it a bolt that holds the idler on or is it part of the waterpump?
Would it make more sense of me to pay 400 and get it to my house and fix it all myself or pay 1125?

Interesting Story
I flew up to Orlando to pick up my C32 and driving it home the supercharger pump was shot. I know whats its like to have big expectations of a new car and be completely let down. Turns out the previous owner knew nothing about the car and only changed the oil in the whole year he had it. So I feel your pain

I think it is very unlikely (though not impossible) for pulley #6 (supercharger guide pulley) failure to lead to failure of #9 (tensioner).
In contradistinction, a problem with #4 (idler pulley) could lead to seizure and downstream damage to #9.
The idler pulley (#4) is bolted onto the water pump housing. If pulley #4 breaks or the bearing seizes, the water pump housing can be destroyed.
In answer to your question though – tough call.
Are they going to charge you anything for what they’ve done already?
As costly as it might seem, $1125 might not be so bad considering the cost of parts + your time + towing the car home versus having the dealer take care of it.
On the other hand, if you'd rather some face time with the M112K, tow it home and do it yourself.

I'm having it towed home.. I'll look at it and check it out. Prolly get the pulley saver kit, water pump if need be and check out the tensioner. As far as price, i may come out a bit cheaper.. but doing the work myself. Which... i'm ready to tackle it and see what happens. Get to know my motor.

UPDATE please...I'd like to hear more about the tensioner issue...was that crap from a dealer?? Lots more to say here...what pulley went? You see anything wrong on the water pump (note one of the pulleys mount to it and when one of my idler pullies went, it damaged my water pump)....how is the tensioner damaged??? Or...is the tensioner bolt just stripped (like mine).
This car is, so far easy to work on...more info we may be able to help you.
