you need to go to a shop that has a road force machine, your tires could be out of round. if that's the case, no balancing job will get rid of the vibration.

So Discount Tire doesn't have the Road Force machine? Any idea how much that will cost to get done? Oh, and can the tires be out of round when they are brand new?

Talked to my Discount Tire guy again today. He said that his boss is willing to do the Road Force balancing for free since I've been in to balance these tires 3 times now. He said however, that the vibration problem may never go away due to the tires being so extreme (10" wide rears)? Hopefully the Road Force balancing will fix it all.

might not even be the problem with balancing btw. could be they didn't even seat the tire right and causing the vibration.

I have a feeling that might be the case also as the other tech told me he had a pretty hard time stretching the 265 tire to fit over the 10" wheel.

Oh man. Why so narrow? I'm running 275s on my 9.5" rear.

Do you rub with 275s? I thought the 265s would lessen the amount of rubbing.

Yea I had to get the wheels Road Force balanced. I think all the vibrations were due to the crappy tires (General Exclaim). Next time I'm definitely going to go with better tires to avoid all the headaches.

Looks Great!! I'm glad I found this thread, I'm just about to but the 18/8.5-9.5 with 235/40 front and 255/35 rear tires with 32 Offset all around. (Hopefully I won't get any rubbing!!!)

Now that I've seen how they look like on the car... Can't wait to get'em!!
