Persistent Coolant Low warning

I get this warning about every 1500 km and I usually need to add about 1l of coolant. I've read quite a few threads about this and the diagnosis usually seems to be a leaky intercooler. I asked my MB dealer to check this out during one of my services, they pressure checked the system and found nothing wrong with it. They also did a transmission glycol contamination check which came out negative. It's definitely not leaking out of the car... so.. where is it going?

The weirdest thing about this is that my car has already been through the whole glycol contamination thing, and the radiator and transmission were replaced under warranty at about 50.000 km's.

Anyone have any idea what my problem is?

You can take off the T splitter and manifold. You should get a good view of where the tranny meets the engine. If the intercooler is leaking, you'll probably see fluid around the valley of the engine and where the tranny meets the engine.

Thats what i noticed when my intercooler was leaking. I had to refill about qt about every 2-3wks.

or faulty wiring. I had that issue, then it turned to the "COOLANT! visit workshop" message. So It gave me reason to pull out that big single fan and run dual slim fans. A little re-wire and I was good to go.
