Windshield wiper stuck halfway on a 02 C32???

Hey guys, today the weirdest thing happened on my car. It rained a little bit today, and after I turned the wipers on (I don't have the automatic wipers), both wipers got stuck halfway down my windshield. No matter what I tried whether it was putting them on high speed or normal speed or intermittent speed, the ending position was halfway down my windshield. I tried pushing them down with my hands to their normal down position, but they would always end up in the halfway down the windshield position after I turned them on. Even if they were off, as soon as I closed the driver side door they would turn on and get stuck half way. Now, I have done quite a bit of research, and there is solutions anywhere from replacing the motor to just greasing it up and it is fine again. Has this happened to any of you guys with a C32/C55? Please let me know if it did and how you fixed it cause it is driving me crazy(hope it does not require a new wiper motor). Tomorrow I will try to grease up tie motor with WD40, and I will let you know if it does the job. It is strange that the motor works perfectly as it moves easily when in full/slower/intermittent speed until you turn the wipers off or close your door (then it gets stuck half way down the windshield). Please help.

I've never had an issue with my C32's wipers, but on my w202 C280 (with the uni-wiper). The wiper had a plastic gear that would routinely strip and have to be replaced. I don't know if our wipers have anything like that, but maybe. I was almost glad when that car got totaled just to be rid of that f***ing wiper.

Did a lot of research today, but kept coming up with different solutions for the problem. One fix was to completely get a new wiper motor and replace it. Another fix is to open up the mechanism and grease it up with wd40. Other one was to take to the dealer to reset the system with star machine because it is apparently a computer problem. Another one was to tighten some screw in the mechanism. I am confused on what I should do now. I guess I should start with the cheapest route, greasing up the mechanism unless you guys have another suggestion.

not to be offtopic or poke fun, but i have a theory that your car wanted the "DTM Status"...... with the wiper in the middle

Other than that, I have never heard of them getting stuck or having any issues

Thats a funny picture. Except it wouldnt look good on my car cause I have two messed up wipers and they dont go all the way up like that lol. Now they get stuck a little higher, but not at the highest point on the windshield. Its not like the wiper gets stuck because the motor is not powerful enough to push through, but it is as if the computer thinks that that is the actual resting position for the wiper. Since nobody has had this happened on their C32/C55, maybe I should try my luck at the w203 forum.

It seems that my problem was that the motor skipped its turn and the wipers were getting stuck up on the windshield. I did buy a new wiper motor, but ended up returning it and I just adjusted the old one. So, if your wipers are getting stuck in the middle of the windshield on your C32 and they function normally, you need to only adjust them.
