Hi Guys,
Just wanted to share what I found when I was chasing noise in my supercharger..... car has done about 65,000 miles (110,000 Km's for those of us using metric
)
Based on the info found in this forum, first step was to replace the bearing in the pulley with a new NSK 32BD45, found one quite easily from a local NSK dealer for around $35.
The old bearing was definitely past its use-by date and I thought I was in the clear, until I started up the car - the noise was louder!
Using an old T-shirt, I 'put the brakes' on the supercharger to see if the internal bearings were shot - noise stayed the same even when it wasn't spinning, so I started working on the theory that the noise from inside the supercharger was actually coming through the drive belt from somewhere else.
I replaced the small pulley on the front of the supercharger, then the two others that are on the front of the engine, all of which had crook bearings in them too - noise gone.
Hope this helps someone, somewhere.....
Cheers,
Mark.

Hey Guys,
sold the C32 some time ago now, so I've missed a few of these requests.
The pulleys that I replaced we numbered 4,6 & 9, basically all of the tensioning/idler pulleys. Don't have the the part numbers anymore
I used a press to replace the bearing itself in the supercharger pulley (5) as the dealer wanted $1500 for a pulley kit and I could get the bearing from NSK for $35 + about an hours work.
Makbryanie, I'm pretty sure HSY Autoparts have an office in Melbourne, I found the guys here in Adelaide very helpful. Give them your VIN number and they will be able to help you out. They should be much cheaper than sourcing the parts from Benz.
Hope this helps.
