To be honest i think a c55 with proper drop + wheels, a lip and a flat hood badge is still one of the sexiest Mb out there. The e63 has a mean look but there are certain elements that make a c55 special which the E lacks of..

thanks man.

question for you. since we have virtually the same setup. when you installed your c/o, did you notice your suspension making a clanking noise? esp. in lower speeds and small bumps? it's awfully loud in the front springs. i'm going to have it checked out this weekend but was wondering if might just be settling in still.

Is the clanking noise coming from the top portion of the shocks? After initial install of my KWs, I had a clicking noise coming from the struts. It was due to a loose top hat screw. I had to bring my car back a 2nd time for the screw to be tightened.

If your clanking noise is caused by the same issue, there's a special tool that is needed:
Hat Removal Tool - Part # 203 589 00 07 00
(See attached picture)

In case you need it, this website has the part for sale: http://www.samstagsales.com/mercedes.htm

How's the ride so far? Have you had any rubbing issues? Did your auto shop shave the inner tab inside the rear fender? I had to get this done to reduce rubbing when passengers sit in the back.

hanks for the info!
I'll have the shop look at this asap.

The ride quality is very close to stock. On bumps, its a little rough but not nearly as bad as I had anticipated. I have it set to very soft. No rub at all in the rear. My fenders are rolled a bit and my setup is much smaller than yours I do have slight rub in the front passenger front fender when reversing.

Mine's the typical MB Brilliant Silver....pretty much stock except CLK Grill, AMG door pins.....waiting for Teo to send me a diffuser!

Got back from Maui yesterday and I saw more C55/C32 W203's than regular 203's!!! And so many white ones!!!

lies!!!! j/k

I do have to admit though, for some odd reason, a black c55 gets more looks than it should. I bought my car so it could be a sleeper but people notice a mb with quad exhausts and a wide stance lol.

So when am I going to get a chance to check out your beast since you're in seattle now!?

I don;t know exactly how much lower it is now vs stock but the wheels are about 1/4 of an inch tucked inside now. The rear fenders are rolled and appears to have plenty of room but my liner is rubbing when I drive and starting to shred off $130 a pop for each liner.

I couldn't agree more. I get a lot of compliments and heads turning even prior to the new wheels and drop. From kids to the elderly, this car get noticed. After ever wash, my love is renewed!

RW's E is ridiculous.
