JonMBZ,

I understand thats your opinion. If you think it looks like a chicks car, it will always look like a chick's car to you. The miata as bad *** as it can be in the track (taking on 911's and others) it still looks too small and cute. The SLK for me is more of a chick's car considering most people I see driving them are middle aged women on the east side of seattle. A local c63 and e93 M3 i saw, both driven by middle aged women as well.

In my opinion, the s2k looks more roadster and sportscarish because its not cab forward, has sharp edges and has aged gracefully since it was released in 2000. I would love to have one except that now that they're old all the ricers can afford them and I don't want to fall into that catagory.

Its lotus elise time for me if i get a nimble track car.

.
the new one is the e90 (for the 4 door) and the e92 which is the drop top and coupe. i'd still rather have a convertable slk55 any day.

Actually the e92 is just the coupe. The e93 is the hardtop convertable. I do have several hardcore bimmerphile friends lol.

oh that's right. i'm the same way, too many of my friends have e46 m3's with crappy ricer exhausts and even they tell me the e92 is the coupe and convertable.lol you're right though. i'm just going by what they told me. apparently the convertable is just as fast as the 335i coupe? weird how that works.

The e93 m3 weighs about 400 pounds more than the e92...the e93 m3 is really a waste of money unless you HAVE TO HAVE the M imho...

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
eh...i still think he should just buy both. Its not like these cars are outragously expensive now. You can buy a used s2k as cheap as 9k and a used c32 as cheap as 12k. just do $0 on both of them and its still only gonna be around $420 a month.

Strap a 5k turbo kit on the s2k and you have 400whp all day long.

I've been debating whether to keep the c32 and just buy a cheap japanese sports coupe to mod like a s2k or trade it in and get a 335i.

Just be prepared for the headache that is the 335i, unless you leave it stock.

Find out what your local dealer says about what voids the warranty. My friend's only mod on his car, aside from the wheels, was k&n cone filters and they wouldn't service his car until he put the stock airboxes on. He had the long crank problem and had his fuel pump replaced twice before 50k.

At the track both 335i's with a tune went into limp mode. One would not crank at all and had to take the tune off via laptop for it to start. The other was in limp mode after the 2nd session of a short (15 minute) track session and his car has the upgraded oil coolers too.

Just saying...I love turboed cars but they can be such a pain in the *** sometimes.

yeah my friend that works as a bmw tech saids he works on 335i's all day long. Bad turbos, bad waste gates, fuel pump..etc. I'll probably just wait. All my non car friends thinks its pretty much a sideways upgrade and not really worth it.
