Yet another friendly discussion with vehicles...
So while I was in Mexico with a friend of mine, he suggested we compare cars. He had a 2002 supercharged Mustang GT with an intake, exhaust and sticky tires. My car has the aforementioned stats in my signature.
We did 3 runs. The first run, we both lost traction badly, but I was able to maintain a lead and keep it pretty consistently. The second run, I lost traction REAL bad and the car force-shifted into 2nd. I lost that run, but not by much. Car still pulls pretty heavily in 2nd gear. The third run, we both left traction control on. At that point, my car bit 1st gear real well and left him by about a car length. As speed went up, I pulled away slowly and steadily.
Yesterday I ran into someone with an older M5. We exchanged info about our cars. He had a cold air intake and an exhaust. So we went from a dig. We both launched real well, but yet again, slow and steady, I pull away. We both gave props to each other and went on our way.
I'm very proud of my car at this time. Such a great choice I made.

a most recent story of my own:
Today I was getting on the freeway on my way home from Mexico... There was also a CTS-V getting on right next to me.
We are both in first gear once we get to the straight, it was on. We went from about a 15mph roll all the way to about 100 or so.
It was pretty even in first, but I did spin and get a rough shift into second, but then everytime we shifted after that I seemed to pull a little bit more, I mean barely but enough to be noticeable...I was pretty impressed with the dirtytwo
just wondering, anyone else had an encounter with one of those? do my results seem accurate for just having a tune?
