Where do you live? Is ur son the second driver of the car? It also depends on the age of ur son and driving records since he will be rated too.

Is your son on the policy or not? If he is in the policy, with 3 family member and 2 cars, the most expensive car will go under your son. Unless your son has his own car (civic like)with his own policy with other insurance company, you can get away with lower insurance since your son has his own policy.
