Tear in Rear Bumper: C32 AMG
I have an L-shaped tear near the center of my rear bumper. I live in Washington DC area. I have two estimates to get it fixed: both about $1,500 and both recommend replacing the rear bumper. It is nothing more than a tear in fiberglass part of the bumper. Almost as though someone with a knife cut an L shape tear in the bumper. It is ugly. I have read that these can be fixed with fillers and bonders but I don't know where they do this. There are some guys advertising on Craiglist that they come to you and fix it on the spot but I am not sure how reliable these guys are? has anyone had experience with this? Thank you,
Andrew

just like a small crack in the bumper? plasti-weld, filler and sanding + repaint can fix most minor things, I've had it done for me for between $50-$100 for little scratches and cracks that appear overtime from carparks and my own sometimes careless driving...
the ONLY thing is that when the guy resprays that patch if you look closely (and you really have to look closely in the first place) then you can see a slight difference in the paint BUT being on the bumper it's not as big an issue as say any body panels from waist-up.
just try a smash repairer/panel beater in your local area!

melted hole in rear bumper sleeve (golf cart lights!!! did it)
what did you end up doing to get it fixed; hate to replace the sleeve instead of having it filled and painted. Sounds simple enough.

Does this include paint for the new bumper? A new one only cost $632.00 on parts.com:
