gs soon to be e5
need advice on new purchase.

hello :] im trading in my gs400. and im really really stuck...
im either gunna get 2002 c32 amg or a 2003 e500. what would best fit me? there both in the 13,000 range. and heres a little bit about myself. i always loved the gs400's cause the room it has.. and cause i love the sound of the V8.(car had no resonators or mufflers) im also into the blacked out look, with hints of chrome. my gs is black and has black powdercoated 20's. i love my car but now i wanna get a mercedes and im not gunna settle for something with under 300hp. also one more thing about me is i am a speed freak. if i see a long open stretch out of the city i will take advantage of that. i was planning and saving for a rmm supercharger befor i decieded to let it go. would i be happy with the c32 amg's performance? i want more then 300hp but if the e500 could match the gs's 300hp i wouldn't be dissapointed either right? and also i had a pretty big sound system in my car 2 12's and a 3000 watt amp with all the neat stuff that goes with it lol

so its said. i pretty much want the whole package. performance with the "looks and sound" also with you c32 and e500 owners, are parts gunna kill me when maintainence comes around? not really worried tho cause my uncle is a mechanic. i really want an e55 but we all know that aint gunna happen, and now i kinda want a c55 since i found out it has a v8 but that aint gunna happen either. soooo stuck i want both

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
Given your statement, it doesn't seem like you really care about corning speed, but more comfort, room and straight line.

I would just go with the e500 and upgrade to a e55 later. All the mods you do to the e500, you can just move over to the e55.

A c32 would have no problem beating a e500 in a straight and would destroy it in the corners, but the interior space is smaller, its less comfortable and the interior isn't as nice.

The E500 will probably feel much slower than the C32. But, seeing as you're coming from a GS and you seem to have given the impression that you like big powerful cruisers, the size of the C32 will probably turn you off. I suggest the E500 as well.

And as for the E55 comment, count your pennies closely, as that would really be your best bet and would blow your mind more than you would've ever thought.

C32 AMG x 2
i have both the e500 and the c32, and to be honest man, the e500 is a beautiful car and has loots and lots of low end torque which is the best thing...it also has power on demand because the NA engine. The interior hands down to the e class.. on the other hand the speeed of the c32 is ridiculous...acceleration is a lot better in the c32 and again its an amg...you cant mess with amg...For you its what ever your desire is but if your a speed freak and you mostly drive alone or so id take the c32 because its a lot quicker and can beat most to all NA v8s minus the newer ones (63 amg and such)...but if your coming from a gs than i guess the e500....

speed=c32
name=c32 (amg)
luxury=e500
maintance=c32(less since less luxury like no airmatic)
gas=fairly the same
looks=opinion (e500 looks more refined)

hard decision....id take the c32 because at the end of the day its an AMG...

C55
Try a c55. A tiny, tiny bit quicker than a stock c32, but has the v8 you crave (you wont be disappointed if you're coming from a gs400) and has a little bit nicer, updated interior than the c32. The only thing is, yes a w211 e-class has a much nicer interior but its pretty slow compared to the c32 and c55.
