Could someone kindly suggest what size spacers I need for my 2005 C55 with 18'' SSR wheels. Without spacers the wheels do fit but are a bit too close for comfort, and am getting a shimmy between 60-70MPH in the steering wheel. Many different spacer thickness sizes (mm) are offered...Any suggestions?

The tire shimmy may be due to the centerbore of the wheel, not due to spacers
or the wheels may need to be balanced....
Were the SSRs made for the Benz?
You sure they are not for an Audi?

Positive! These wheels were originally on a CLK black series featured at Motorwerks (MI). A tech there said the shimmy was from the wheels and that spacers would improve the tight clearance issue and get rid of the shimmy...Just don't know which spacer thickness size is best.
How did you fit properly-offset black series wheels onto a C55 is my first question...
Next is that yes, suspension or caliper clearance will be resolved by spacers, but shimmy is not. In fact, spacers can make shimmy worse. Are you sure you have the correct centerbore size (in other words, you don't need any hubcentric rings) and if so, you might have a bent wheel or bad tire. Spacers don't fix shimmy.

Wheel Balanced?
Did you use the tapered bolts from the CLK? or did you reuse your ball shaped bolts?
Are all the threads on the bolts or on the hub intact?
