Help with C55 oil level in dyno mode (Oil overfill)

Got car back from the dealer the other day & checked oil level which said to remove oil, but not how much.

I went into dyno mode and saw a line that says "ol 9.0l"

I know it seems obvious but wanted confirmation that the computer is telling me that the oil level is at 9 liters?

9 liters is 9.5 quarts. I would get straight to removing oil.

To add more info to my previous post, when it read "ol 9.0l" the other day, the engine/oil was warm and was driven within an hour or so.

The car hasn't been driven since last night so I checked it again first thing this morning.

Computer oil check tells me that oil level is ok now and dyno mode read "ol 8.5l"

I guess that's the difference between warm/hot oil and cool oil?

Same thing recently happened to me. Warm the car up for a few minutes to get the oil to running temp. Turn the car off and wait 5 minutes. Then check oil in dyno mode. I had to go to home depot and get a little "LiquiVac" unit. It holds 3 quarts. The only problem was that I had to go get a thinner tube to fit down my dipstick, since the one that came with the unit was too thick. Sucking the extra oil out was a breeze after that.

I was under the impression that ol: 8L was about ideal when cool? Mine currently is at 7.7L with an oil change due in 7 days per the FSS.
