C32 Alternator fitted....GREAT!
Just had a new Valeo alternator fitted to the 32. Had it done by my local garage just opposite West London Audi. The hourly there is £45 + VAT.
They charged me 2 hours plus the alternator. In all it came to £360. Great value and tons less than Mercedes would have charged to do the same thing.
Oh....and the performance..... bloody hell!!

I think my alternator has been playing up for a while until it died...and died pretty quickly.
Putting the new one in has really changed the car. It pulls hard at low revs and through the mid-band it is sweet. It is amazing what you get used to after a while.
I'm going in for an oil/filter and plugs change next month but will buy the parts first.
