We are all here to help you. With 19s (265s rear) and a full load of (adult)passengers, you'd be rubbing ALL DAY. I personally would like to switch down to 18s just to get a smoother, less harsh ride and get rid of any tire rubbing whatsoever, plus, you lose a little bit of weight (costs less, too).
19s or less, that's it.

My sig picture was when I had 19" tsw bremmas on. They looked perfect but if you want them to look bigger don't get a set of rims with a lip. It makes them look an inch smaller. I'm running 18" monoblock vi reps now and they look smaller than other 18" wheels without a lip.

Thanks for the advice! I have loved your car since I first saw it on here so I'm excited to hear those are indeed 19" Bremmas. I'm going with these now! Was your car lowered in this pic?

Anybody every delt with these folks?

They're silver and it wasn't lowered. Going with the 19" wheels reduces the gap actually. I'm wanting to put the 19"s back on because I have too much of a fender gap stock, and if I lower it, I'll be scraping my lip everywhere since I'm an inch closer to the ground too.

Cool. My C55 is not lowered and I'm trying to get an idea of what its going to look like with 19's. So many people have so many different set-ups that you never know. What size tires did you have?

Guys...I may be back on the 20" band waggon now! I waffle more than the president does on this! I keep seeing this thread, espically the mobb8 black C, plus I just found out that the tire rack has 20's, 225/30 and 245/30 at almost half the price of 19's! Obviously a more commom size I guess (the backs are where the big savings are).

Thanks everyone for all the help! I just purchased a set of 19" Bremma replicas made by "Sport Edition" for the Tire Rack. I actually bought them with about 6k miles on them from a guy who had them on an '09 SL500. He traded the 500 on a 2011 SL AMG and the dealer wanted the original wheels so that's whey he had them. I'm picking them up next weekend! I'm assuming I'll have to have a set of spacers, right? Thanks agian for all the help!

Wait a minute
The offset on a SL500 has different offsets? You will need a 12mm spacer if i am correct?
Why are you buying these when you can find a set that is specific to your car.

Not the best idea. Pls try again

Tire Rack shows an '09 SL 550 (I think I said 2010 SL 500 eairler by mistake) has the same +35 offset.

I think someone with 20's should chime in.
I hate it when people talk about something they haven't even experience.
