Alternator went out and now IC pump acting up...
I had the battery checked and it was good.
I made an appt to have the alternator looked at, and on the way to the mechanic the car started losing power to accessories. The car finally had enough and started decelerating , luckily I was able to pull off to the side of the road. For those in Dallas, I was on 635 and just got past the mess of 635 and 35 thankfully.
I had the alternator replaced (probably should've had it rebuilt.. oh well) and all was somewhat fine.
My IC Pump now seems to be acting up... intermittent sllooowwww acceleration at highway speed, and the car feels like it's shifting at highway speeds at time as well. The IC Pump is a Johnson CM30 and is approx. 1 year old.
Could the alternator issue cause the IC pump to go? Still researching on this site about the IC pump, but I did check fuse 5 and it looked good (although I may replace it anyway).
And to top if off I've got some clunking in my glove box when I start my car. I'll assume that's the wonderful CD changer MB decided to give us.
