Is the M3 Cab much slower?

Have read some reviews that suggest the M3 Cabriolet is at least .5 seconds slower than the Coupe. Anyone have any experience, or can validate this?

My boss has an 03 M3 cab and is ****y as hell. Despite this maybe being a CLM (career limiting move), I am seriously considering lining up with him and kicking his ***. I will run any day with a coupe, knowing that I have at least a 50% chance, greater when they don't know how to drive. But if the Cab is that much slower, I can't wait.:p

Don't bother, your career is worth more than the satisfaction of beating a car you know you're faster than!

Do you really need that much of an ego boost? But yes, the cab is more heavy and less aerodynamic. If you get a decent launch, you will have little trouble.

Talking

Ego Boost - Hell no!!! I don't think it could get any bigger anyway. Earning double his income is satisfaction enough. I simply enjoy deflating someone elses.

Let's not kid ourselves, there aren't too many AMG owners without ego's. It's perfectly OK, it's what makes the world go round. Last guy I knew with no ego drove a Lada...

Thanks for the feedback though...

I believe the 6 speed M3 cab is about 5.3 0-60... and the SMG should be a couple tenths slower... so maybe 5.5.

I have raced, not from a stop tho, an M3 cab, with my older body M3 coupe, and it didn't pull on me at all. So I'm guessing around 5.5 ish and 1/4 mile in the low 14s is about right for the cab.
