A Warning about X-Pel Bumper Kits for the C32
FYI.. The bumper protection kit X-Pel makes for our cars is SAD.. it offers pretty weak protection/coverage for the lower bumper. I've personally seen it on a car and I'm quite dissapointed in it. There are some GLARING issues with it. .
1. The bumper strips over the trim do NOT wrap around, leaving about 30% of the strip exposed to chips.
2. The lowest part of the kit does not wrap below the front bumper at all, leaving that part of the bumper exposed.
3. The part of the kit that attaches around the foglight area leaves big 1"+ gaps in that area, totally exposed.
4. The area on the widest part of the bumper does NOT wrap around to meet the seam of the upper part, leaving a good 6" x 6"+ curved/square area on each bumper side exposed..
I could go on and on.. It was VERY dissapointing.
I hope the Stongard kit is better protection wise. Also, Rumor has it, there is a kit for our cars by a company called armourfend which offers more protection than both Stongard or X-Pel.
I'll be taking a look @ Stongard and Armourfend in the next week or so..
