Easiest (economical) way to upgrade stock (non-HID) C32 headlights?

Old thread I know, however I have same questions.
My C32 I picked up looks like the pic posted above, if in fact we have standard c class headlights, Will the $200-260.00 ebay black housing headlights work fine? some projector some are not, I was looking at the black housing with the circles(prob projector style). will they plug and play or do I have to worry about light patterns and not being able to see at night?
The expensive bi xenons I have no interest for, mainly need the black housing lights light output can be same a long as they work at night
