Fantastic mod -- those brakes are killer. I love the look of your car! Maker me miss my previous black on black AMG (it was the need to wash the car every 2 days that caused me to pick silver this time).

91RS... do you have a list of all the part numbers and approximate part costs associated to this conversion that you can post? Anything else that we will need to convert the brakes.

Whats the difference between the CLK63 brakes and the 030 SLK55/CLK55 brake upgrade package?

Can you post a closer picture of your rear brake setup if that was changed also.

Thanks.

The rear setup is the same. Viper can fill in the exact details, but the CLK63 setup uses the 2 piece front rotor and the rotor is slightly bigger than the CLK55 setup. I really would have been fine with either setup and wasn't really planning on buying everything at once, but the CLK63 setup is what came up for sale so I grabbed it. My cost really won't help anyone because I bought the entire set used and then UPS ruined 3 of the 4 rotors, so I ended up getting 4 new rotors and then I replaced the front and rear pads.

Here are the part numbers I have for the CLK63 setup:

CLK 63 AMG (Front)
003-420-67-83 (caliper)
003-420-68-83 (caliper)
209-421-01-12 (rotors x 2)
005-420-39-20 (Brake Pads)

SLK 55 AMG 030 Performance Pack (Rear)
003-420-29-83 (caliper)
003-420-30-83 (caliper)
171-423-02-12 (Rotors x 2)
005-420-41-20 (pads)

Wow, nice. Matches wheels perfectly. Not a fan of the headlights. Besides looks, how much extra braking power?

I don't understand why these would be different from C63 brakes...not doubting they are, it just doesn't make sense.

What are the carbon fiber diffusers that youfellows speak of? Link or pic? Tried searching, in my mind I'm. Picturing what s2000 owners put on their rear bumper as a place to have the exhaust tips exit. Do they make em for the c32 (even with no quad exhaust), cause Id like to see that? Or are you speaking of something completely different? : )

Stopping power is awesome!

The C63 brakes are different because the suspension is all different (also why I had to use spacers to use the wheels). The CLK63 brakes work because the W209 suspension is exactly the same as the W203 (except for the CLK63 Black Series, which is different).

I can't stand the stock grille! That is the first thing I got rid of, I don't think it fits the car at all.

There are two versions of the 209/171/203 6pot fronts, 360mm rotor and 340mm rotor, piston sizes are the same. One rear size, 4pot 330mm.
On the C63, the entire caliper, rotor size, offset, bolt size, piston size, etc, is different. Taking the time to compare a simple picture or two would have shown you this.
