Yeah, I've averaged 27-28k miles/year over the past couple of years; change the oil when the midi tells me too... 8-10k miles on average.

May I ask what you paid for the car. I have a 2005 AMG C55 with 129000 miles I want to sell and am not sure where or how much to ask for. The car is in great condition except for some road rash under the front bumper from parking to close to the parking stops. I need to change the xenon gas bulb that just went out and thats about it.

Thanks,

It seemed like my C55 was costing me about $300 a month on average. New tires every year at about 1k a set. abut $375 a year in oil changes. Then all the little stuff. control arms $500 diy. new wheels because the factory ones are not up to the task was another $1500. front rotors and pads were almost $600. It just seemed like every time I turned around I was purging cash. I wish I could have kept it as a 3rd car but not a great DD.

Mercedes goes through hell and back to make sure the stock wheel and tire are a perfect fit for each chasis they make.

We all like our cars lowered and with nice wheels but there is no better fit as far as functionality than stock wheels and tires.

Everything else you listed sounds like maintenance

I dont doubt that they fit well for the car but I have never had as many problems with cracking as these wheels. On my last 6 benzs all but 2 have had stock wheels with no issues. One got rentech monolites and the c55 got some tsw because I couldn't deal with getting my rims repaired every other month.

You are right but that is what cost of ownership is.
