I went to the dealer today since I had received a check engine light. They said I would have to replace the shutoff valve to correct the issue.

They told me it would cost $550-$570!!! I haven't paid anything other than the $150 to get the diagnostics done, but is it reasonable or am I being exploited to be asked to pay the additional $400-$420 to replace the shutoff valve? If so, what is a reasonable cost I should expect for this repair?

I have attached my receipt for reference. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

$150 for a 10 minute diagnostic. Stealerships are outrageous

You are being fleeced. Take it to an independent MB shop.
